What is an execution-only investment service?

If you have researched the market, understand what you wish to purchase and the risks involved, then an execution-only trade execution service can be a cost-effective means to buy and sell equities. An execution-only brokerage will not provide you with financial advice but will look to complete your trade executions as efficiently as possible ensuring that cost benefits are maximised and low latency assured.

GIS UK Ltd trade execution services are regulated by the FCA who define execution-only services as follows:

‘A transaction executed by a firm upon the specific instruction of a client where the firm does not give advice on investments relating to the merits of the transaction and in relation to which the rules on assessment of appropriateness.’

This means that GIS UK Ltd’s trading desk won’t have an opinion on your trading decision, but will trust that you have undertaken the necessary research and understand the risk. We will then execute your instruction effectively as possible to ensure you maximise your return.
